Yesterday , the Frankfurt Motor Show just ended in Germany. Here are some of the production cars that were unveiled there:
Aston Martin’s Rapide shown here is a four door sports car. It accommodates 4 adults. Th rear seats fall flat at the touch of a button to open the cargo space of 301 liters to 750 liters. It features a 6.0 liter V12 engine that generates 470hp, torque stands at 443 lb ft and has a 6 speed Touchtronic 2 automatic transmission standard. It does 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds.
This is the 2010 Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 V10. The convertible version of the popular Audi R8 supercar. This one comes with the Gallardos’ Lamborghin-sourced V10. that generates 525 hp. Folding the soft top takes less than 20 seconds. Although the Spyder weighs 476 pounds more than the coupe version, the 2010 Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 V10 does 0-60 in 4 seconds!
The BMW Active Hybrid 7 combines a V8 gasoline engine , eight speed automatic transmission and an electric motor. The engine is a 4.4 liter V8 to what they added a 35-cell lithium-ion battery creating an overall output of 342 KW/465 hp and a 0-60 of 4.0 seconds.
This of course is the new Ferrari 458 Italia. The successor to the Ferrari 450. This one has 562 hp, new brakes, suspension and a F1 -style seven-speed gearbox.
The New Hyundai Tucson ix35 here has a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine, gasoline or diesel with 166 hp or 184 hp. It features Downhill Brake Control,Hill-Start Assist control and drives either front wheel drive or four wheel drive.
The Reventon Roadster, the jet inspired Lamborghini convertible, has a 6.5 liter V12 that makes 661 horsepower and 487 lb-ft of torque and all-wheel drive. It goes from zero to sixty two mph in 3.4 seconds.
This is the Lotus Evora type 124 Enurance Racer. It is the racing version of the Evora made by Lotus. This version has only one seat unlike the standard version that comes with four. It’s power comes from a Toyota V6 midships tuned to produce 400 horsepower. It’s rear wheel drive and has a sequential gearbox, track suspension and carbon-composite panels.
This car is freaking beautiful. What we have here is the Marussia B2, a new Russian supercar. Info is scarse but we know it has some kind of Nissan-Renault V6 under the hood. Promising performance this succesor to the B1 has a lot going for it.
And, this is the Marussia B1 Hybrid, another offering by the Russian Manufacturer. We will let you know as more information becomes available about this cars.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG “Gullwing” shown here created something of a buzz in the web and here it is. 571 horsepower from a 6.3 liter V8, almost 50/50 weight distribution and a zero to sixty two mph of 3.8 seconds. And, it will come as an electrical version in the future, as well.
